  • AU Base Organization
    • consider Organization.contact extension reference for 0..* locations; see GitHub #337 
      Closed: The address on the organization contact is typically used for correspondence and can be PO Boxes, they are not related to service locations.
    • add constraints for NATA identifier value  GitHub #335 (previous: some info via DMcK; further confirmation of leading 0's; confirm a plan for final constraint definition)
    • proposed NCTS binding for Organization.type Refer to GitHub:  #333 (Liam Barnes attending) (previous: Liam would be good to comment on - au-organization.type we can bind to NCTS valueset for better viewing - need agreement to proceed)
    • max length constraints GitHub #336 (previous: identifiers should have a max length if known; useful constraint for UI and databases; must be consistent with other constraints. RE will develop issue)
  • AU Base PractitionerRole
    • NPIO value validation, see #348
    • identifier:nationalProviderAtOrganisation.type.text as "NPIO" or "National provider at organisation identifier"

  • AU FHIR Base profiles with sliced identifiers - bad use of pattern and fixed value  GitHub #319 (previous: see if RTO will withdraw this item after discussion)

  • Provider directory:

    • PD issues and questions from Scott Ferris Agency (previous: federation likely needs provenance; there is no documented common approach so needs some more work on defining this practice - BE to respond)

    • BE - breakdown these issues on PD to github issue; approval for HealthcareService as mandatory for PractionerRole and adding search for PractitionerRoles at a HealthcareService- need meeting with participants

    • PD resolve issues - improve validation in AU base ; ballot cycle for PD and AU Base - include SRA concerns

  • codesystem-au-hl7v2-0203: fix QA error but there are implications for implicit value set capability; see GitHub #327 (Liam Barnes attending)

  • National residential medication chart - possible future work

Agenda items added for this meeting:

  • NATAsite slice is missing a code #368 - add code "XX" for organisation identifier or create a new code.

  • Resolving issue with building STU3 IGs derived from HL7 AU STU3 IG (dependency via ig.json "name" : "aubasestu3" & "version" : "0.0.3") - builds failing with error org.hl7.fhir.exceptions.FHIRException: The package 'hl7.fhir.au.base#0.0.3' is not known to the package server ('http://packages.fhir.org'); see Github #355

(Brett/Grahame working on this, investigating workarounds)

Not planning to continue to do ongoing development on STU3, outside of technical corrections. So this will be a transient short term issue. (Till we start defining R5 content, at which point it will be a concern for everyone)

  • ADHA new: AU Base PractitionerRole 

    • consider PractitionerRole.code slice with ANZSCO codes; see Github #353 (Brian: Seems reasonable to include as an optional binding)

    • consider adding PractitionerRole.identifier HPI-I slice; see Github #354 - (this was closed as already covered by NPI-O)

  • ADHA new: AU Base Patient updates to support CALD data collection (Cultural and Linguistic Diversity) - see background GitHub (ADHA) #13

    • Country of birth - already done; add narrative
    • Preferred language - already available; add narrative
    • Need for interpreter - add core extension (patient-interpreterRequired) to AU Base Patient profile; with narrative about use with communication element (approved)
    • Year of arrival in Australia - create new extension (on Patient, 0..1, date, 4 digits) and add to AU Base Patient profile; with narrative. Consider date accuracy indicator for estimated year.
    • Ethnicity - is a component of CALD but currently has inadequate definition to work with

These extensions on Patient seem reasonable, would want to co-ordinate this with the Primary Care Data Standards workgroup to ensure we don't contradict each other, and use the same values.

  • Plan for transitioning to identifier datatype profiles; see GitHub #313 (Medicare Number #369)
    (Some at ADHA aren't a fan of the approach - we should further discuss the how this is implemented... Brett Esler try with a draft of MRN, MedicareNo, IHI)

    • Healthcare Organisation Role Type - looks like envrionment code; only healthcare - suitable as slices - will be done as pull request by agency
    • ANZIC - is suitable here; queued for attention at NCTS; will follow up - suitable as slices - will follow up with NCTS team

    • currently no implicit valueset on codesystem - fixes immediate issue with validation
    • valueset for 0203 is hl7.org.au based url 
    • if implicit valueset is needed for 0203 codesystem then will use terminology.hl7.org.au domain (not needed currently)
  • datatype profiles http://build.fhir.org/ig/hl7au/au-fhir-base/StructureDefinition-au-medicarenumber.html up for review; DVA in progress + others comming -see GitHub #313
  • CALD Need for interpreter published; Year of arrival next
  • template IG build could be used for AU Base; discuss suitability of a port
