AU Medicare Prescriber Number [FMM Level 0]

This identifier profile defines a Medicare prescriber number[1] in an Australian context. A Medicare prescriber number, otherwise referred to as PBS prescriber number, is assigned by Services Australia to practitioners who are approved to prescribe PBS medicines under the National Health Act 1953. A prescriber must hold a valid PBS prescriber number to write a valid PBS prescription.
