HL7AU - FHIR WG : Mission and Charter

Mission

The Child Health Working Group supports the HL7 Australia mission by defining the requirements and specifications to support interoperable information exchanges of child health data, including birth records, immunisations, health checks, observations and developmental milestones.


Charter

This group intends to produce normative standards and profiles (in FHIR, and potentially in the future in HL7 v2.x and HL7 CDA) by:

Identifying requirements in the following and providing structured content specifications to support interoperable digital information exchanges:

  • Birth Records
  • Child Health Observations (including Height, Weight, Head Circumference, APGAR scores, etc.)
  • Developmental Milestones
  • Health Checks

Identifying requirements and providing specifications regarding system interactions and behaviours supporting:

  • Child Health events
  • Queries for child health information Provide feedback to HL7 International on local requirements that should be addressed in core definitions

Support the implementation of child health artifacts at HL7 Australia connectathons
