  • Discussion on specialty preferences and current state
    • CIS Preference: SNOMED-CT: BP, Zedmed, Genie
    • SM Preference: SNOMED-CT : MO, HL,  - ANZSCO use GH, TH
  • Decision: PractionerRole.specialty binding SNOMED-CT (subset) must support
  • Additional search descriptions must be supported: specialty:below + specialty:text 
  • Search on ANZSCO; HI Taxonomy not required in PD specification

  • Todo AU Base change: PractitionerRole  add SNOMED-CT roles + ANZSCO already exists

  • Concept Map: SNOMED-CT to HI Taxonomy as defined in Healthcare Provider Classification in the HI Services V5.00
  • Note: PractitionerRole.specialty can be text only PractitionerRole.specialty.text (CodeableConcept) - if no code available then text only is okay
  • Decision: PractitionerRole.specialty cardinality to 0..1 i.e. when not populated in source does not need to be supplied
