Agenda:
- Practitioner Role Preferred Name
It is proposed to introduce an extension on AU Base PractitionerRole to support a preferred name. Whilst the Practitioner resource has provision for a practitioner’s usual, official and nicknames, practitioners may go by different names at different healthcare services for cultural or other reasons. Adding a preferred name to the AU Base PractitionerRole profile will allow this to be communicated where required.
The SRA Release 1 IG has such an extension. It is proposed to extend AU Base in a substantially similar manner.

- Address GNAF ID
The Geocoded National Address File (GNAF) is the Australian standard for street addresses and includes an identifier for each listed street address. It is proposed to introduce a GNAF Identifier data type and an extension on the Address data type for the inclusion of this identifier.
The SRA Release 1 IG has such a data type and extension. It is proposed to extend AU Base in a substantially similar manner.

- Healthcare Service After Hours Telecom
It is proposed to introduce an extension on AU Base HealthcareService to allow the recording of different phone numbers (and potentially other telecom systems) for different purposes such as after hours.
The NHSD FHIR IG has such an extension. It is proposed to extend AU Base in a substantially similar manner.

Consideration should be given as to whether it is semantically correct to include the including the ContactEntityType codesystem in the value set for the telecom purpose:
https://build.fhir.nhsd.healthdirect.org.au/ValueSet-valueset-au-contact-purpose.html
The Contact Entity Type code system is focused on contact entities rather than telecom purposes.
Given the potential for the addition of a Healthcare Service “contact” element in R5, use of the same code system could lead to two different ways to represent the same thing.
Minutes:
Practitioner Role Preferred Name: keep this as SRA extension and review later
- Address GNAF ID: extension with string value only; url made general for AU Base; draft pull request to follow (Agency)
- Create : code system and value set to reflect https://build.fhir.nhsd.healthdirect.org.au/ValueSet-valueset-au-contact-purpose.html content + other as needed
- Create : extension with context ContactPoint - value is a CodeableCocept - intention is contact purporse coding
- Consider for R5 discussion; raise ticket for contact point purpose
Follow up:
- AGENCY: Review all valueset references to NCTS make FHIR IG valuesets - priortise this to SRA scope
- JD: direct service correspondence to a nominated specific individual; HealthcareService extension
- JD: backup delivery person as PractitonerRole extension - HL7 V2 STF
- Rob Eastwood: Continue to "cleanup" the identifier datatypes now that the approach is good
- BE: put PD POC changes in a github issues and work on the changes in CI build of PD spec; review next time
- https://github.com/hl7au/au-fhir-pd/pull/2 rejected not as per spec
- BP: Chase up if existing work on AHPRA registration extensions already exists
