Congratulations to the HL7 Australia board for successfully campaigning to host the HL7 International Working Group Meeting in Sydney in 2020.
Discussion topic for next week: use of terminology and other coding systems (e.g. use of NCTS, coding system selection, governance and maintenance functions, terminology binding, etc.)
National Children’s Digital Health Collaborative Health Interactions & Interoperability Overview
RD questioned what is meant by clinical, calculated, consumer interaction types. Clinical interaction “Record by clinical”, Calculated based on “business rules”, interaction between two actors in the provision of the healthcare. Needs for the collaborative. Particular clinical scenario is providing a healthcare service may involve multiple interactions.
CR confirmed that provenance will be captured.
CR:Question around patient reports outcomes. Considerations for future use.
RD queried and it was confirmed that Exchange includes security and transport (REST/SOA/etc.)
It was raised that a uniform process for balloting is being worked on by the board.
JS confirmed that the HL7 Australia board is working on processes and procedures for work groups
JS asserted that that WGs develop content and cannot necessarily fit into the delivery time frames of projects. In the event HL7 Australia standards are not ballotted or finalised, projects in the community would use the implementation-ready specifications. SB, on behalf of the collaboration, confirmed that this would be acceptable.
